Abstract

This is another important technique used to find the point of coordination when there is possible ambiguity. The basic principles of NMR are discussed and also its application to inorganic compounds. The basic concepts such as nuclear spin, precessional motion, resonance, gyromagnetic ratio, chemical shift, shielding, deshielding, δ-scale, chemical and magnetic equivalence, J-value, first-order and nonfirst-order spectra are discussed in detail. Solid-state NMR and its application are discussed.
