Abstract
Crystalline Si solar module fabrication and testing are explained. The specifications and requirements of the bill of materials of solar modules is explained. The solar module design aspect components are discussed. The requirements of the solar cell, solar glass, EVA, back sheet, PV ribbon, junction box, frame, and adhesive for the design and manufacturing of solar modules for reliable long-term performance are discussed. The manufacturing processes such as automatic soldering by tabber and stringer, lamination, testing, and other fabrication aspects are discussed. Reliability testing criteria are also presented. The solar modules with advanced technology such as PERC, HJT, bifacial, and half-cut are discussed and advancements in solar PV module technology are explained.
