Abstract

This chapter explores the existence of multiple solutions of nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems with precise sign information: positive solutions, negative solutions, and nodal (that is, sign-changing) solutions. Three distinct cases are examined: Dirichlet boundary condition, Neumann boundary condition, and problems with multivalued terms expressed in the form of generalized gradient for locally Lipschitz functions.
