Abstract

The incessant pursuit to improve the quality of human life has been the driving force for many investigations and discoveries. Even though much is still to be learned, during the last couple of decades vast progress has been made regarding the management of male reproductive health, from the perspective of traditional as well as modern allopathic medicine. There is better understanding of prostatitis, its diagnosis and complications, the impact of male accessory gland infections, how autoimmunity and antisperm antibodies can influence fertility, new methods of male contraception and how men can actively contribute to family size, and how to deal with low libido. Male sexual health is by default multifaceted and in managing it, much more than the functioning of the reproductive system should be considered.
