Abstract

This chapter presents the heat exchange of fined pipes and their bundles immersed in a fluidized bed (FB). Heat exchange in FB furnaces is determined by the conductive–convective and radiation components of complex heat exchange. The experimental study of the high-temperature heat exchange process in an FB is characterized by great complexity. Since the function of the conductive–convective component at a bed temperature of up to 1273K (typical for furnaces with an FB) has the same qualitative character as at Tfb up to 423K, the main studies of heat transfer are carried out on the “cold” model (as methodologically simpler ones), and then they are supplemented by the studies of heat exchange at Тfb up to 1273K.
