Abstract

This chapter presents hydrodynamic characteristics of the flow around dispersed medium bodies. Hydrodynamic structure measurements of the fluidized bed (FB) and the determination of gas bubble distribution are carried out by experimental methods. The measurement technique of studying the hydrodynamic processes in the FB is presented in the given publications. There are the following techniques, namely intrusive ones, such as resistance, inductance, and impedance; piezoelectric and nonintrusive techniques, such as photographic, imaging, tomography, light scattering as well as laser techniques.
