Abstract
Descriptive analysis is a useful and important instrument in research and development. The objective description of products is carried out by a specially recruited, screened and trained panel under standardised conditions in a sensory laboratory. There are many ways to increase efficiency and improve quality through digital work. Digital tools can speed up panellist management, make training sessions more efficient, secure data collection and automate analysis. Specialised tools for training, data collection with automated reporting of results, panel performance and panel management can be used independently or in combination. Hence a multifunctional software solution connecting all important aspects can drastically increase efficiency while maintaining quality.
