Abstract

The application of biomolecules such as proteins and nucleic acids as biopharmaceutical agents recently increased, particularly in cancer therapy and genetic disorders. Furthermore, identification of molecules against any targets represents a new window for drug discovery and treatment of diseases in medicine. In this chapter, we highlight some of the high-impact advances in biomolecules therapy and discuss about the potential applications of biomolecules as biopharmaceutical agents and their application for introducing novel molecules for the treatment of diseases in drug discovery.
