Abstract
In July 2013, Oyu Tolgoi shipped first concentrate to customers. By 2016, copper production from Oyu Tolgoi increased to 2.5 million tonnes with the goal to raise it to 3 million tonnes by 2017. More than 13,000 jobs were created in Mongolia. 95% of them are Mongolian national cadres. Oyu Tolgoi becomes a significant integral part of the Mongolian economy.
