Abstract

Natural bioactive peptides (BP) are getting attention due to their health endorsing potential. Furthermore, these BP can be extracted via various conventional and novel green technologies methods. For example, solid-liquid extraction, protein-extraction, and liquid-liquid, Ultrasonication, microwave (MW), MW assisted extraction, MW-assisted extraction, and applications, nitrogen-protected MW-assisted extraction, vacuum MW-assisted extraction, vacuum MW-assisted extraction, ultrasonic MW-assisted extraction, are considered as conventional and novel methods. In addition, these are ever-increasing demands of energy-efficient methods for the extraction of various BP. Moreover, these methods produced less wastewater and hazardous substances. Finally, current chapter lime lighted the conventional and green extraction technologies and the role of these eco-innovative technologies in attaining the goal of a sustainable food system.
