Abstract
Almost half a century ago, Dogma (1975) has already raised a call to promote the teaching of mycology in the Philippines. With the shift to outcome-based education in higher education, the need to develop student-centered, active learning activities is a must in the teaching of courses including mycology. Here we present learning activities as applied to the teaching of fungi in the Philippines. We developed or adopted these learning activities and implemented in our classes. These learning activities are designed for varied levels of learners and for educational institutions with varied facilities and resources.
