Abstract

Nanoparticles present a highly striking platform for research as well as for a different array of biological applications. Nanotechnology is at the most important edge of the quickly developing new therapeutic and diagnostic ideas in all areas of medicine. There is an increasing evidence that nanotechnology will make significant progress in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases as applied to medicine. Nanoparticles obtained from plants have many biomedical applications. Plants possess many anticancer, antimicrobial, and antidiabetic agents. Plants can be used as drug delivery systems. There are various types of metallic nanoparticles synthesized from plant extracts. Thus, nanotechnology has mainly three applications in the biomedical field: diagnostic techniques, drugs, and prostheses and implants.
