Abstract

In the first decades of the 21stcentury, fantastic literature has a great popularity not only among young readers. Laura Gallego is one of the most successful writers on this topic. We analyze her work El libro de los portales, where the ekphrasis sets the plot in a context of creation of possible worlds through painting. We also mention the use of multimodal discourses in the promotion of the book through the book trailer and the website of the writer.
