Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the clinical efficacy of ceftazidime/tazobactam sodium combined with levofloxacin and enteral nutrition nursing interventions in treating older adults with heart failure complicated with pulmonary infection. Control group patients (59) received ceftazidime tazobactam sodium injection (3:1). Observation group patients (59) received ceftazidime/tazobactam sodium with levofloxacin hydrochloride injection and enteral nutrition. The observation group had a higher total effective rate (χ2 = 5.94) and lower levels of inflammatory factors (interleukin-4, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha) than the control group. Left ventricular end-systolic diameter and end-diastolic diameter were lower in the observation group than in the control group, and the left ventricular ejection fraction and pathogenic bacteria clearance rate were higher in the observation group than in the control group. The observation group had fewer adverse reactions than the control group. The levels of serum transferrin, prealbumin, and albumin were higher in the observation group than in the control group. No significant difference in satisfaction rate was found between the groups (χ2 = 3.01). Ceftazidime/tazobactam sodium, combined with levofloxacin and enteral nutrition, can reduce inflammatory factor levels in older adults with heart failure complicated with pulmonary infection. It improves the bacterial clearance rate and treats body infections without increasing adverse reactions.
