Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate combined with ticagrelor on platelet count (PLT), lipoprotein phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) and cardiac function in patients with coronary heart disease after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods Eighty patients with coronary heart disease who underwent PCI in the Third People’s Hospital of Liaocheng from May 2017 to May 2018 were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. Both of the two groups received routine treatment after surgery. Based on the treatment, patients in control group were given clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate, while patients in observation group were treated with clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate combined with ticagrelor, and all patients were treated for 2 months. Platelet aggregation rate, serum Lp-PLA2 level, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD) and left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD) in both groups were measured before and after treatment. Results After 2 months of treatment, platelet aggregation was significantly improved in both groups, and serum Lp-PLA2 levels were significantly lower than before treatment; LVEDD, LVESD and LVEF were significantly improved compared with those before treatment (P<0.05). After 2 months of treatment, the improvement in platelet aggregation in observation group was better than that in control group; the serum Lp-PLA2 level in observation was lower than that in control group; LVEDD, LVESD and LVEF in observation group were improved compared with those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The combination of clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate and ticagrelor can effectively improve the heart function of coronary heart disease patients after PCI. It has stronger effect than clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate alone and it is worthy of clinical application. Key words: Clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate; Ticagrelor; Percutaneous coronary intervention; Cardiac function
