Abstract
La presente monografia es adaptacion de la tesis doctoral defendida por la autora en la Universidad de Salamanca en septiembre de 2018. Nos encontramos ante un interesante estudio en el que se pretende arrojar nueva luz sobre una franja etaria, la ancianidad femenina, que hasta la fecha no ha merecido la atencion que debiera por parte de la historiografia. La novedad del trabajo que presentamos es destacable, pues —a mi conocimiento— no se ha realizado, hasta la fecha, ninguna obra que aborde de manera sistematica la cuestion de la vejez femenina en la Roma antigua.
