Abstract
The article provides information about the national moral values of courage, bravery and heroism. The historical roots of these values are revealed and examples of historical figures full of courage are given. At the same time, the place and role of the problem under consideration is highlighted in Azerbaijani pedagogical literature. In the article, textbooks of literature and history of Azerbaijan in grades V-IX of secondary school were examined from the point of view of problems, topics were systematized, and examples were given. The article ends with a general conclusion.
