Abstract
In the modern courtroom, few forms of evidence are as persuasive or impactful as forensic evidence. From DNA analysis to fingerprint identification, forensic science has revolutionized the way cases are investigated and presented to juries. This type of evidence, although considered circumstantial due to its reliance on inferences to connect it to fact (Olaborede & Meintjes-Van der Walt, 2020, p. 3) provides a tangible, scientifically validated link between the crime scene and the accused, often leaving little room for doubt. While forensic evidence is frequently regarded as irrefutable, its influence on trial outcomes goes beyond its mere presentation.
