Abstract
The biotransformation of 4-tert-pentytlcyclohexanone using ten anthracnose fungi was investigated. 4-tert-Pentylcyclohexanone was transformed to mainly tans-4-tert-Pentylcyclohexanol by all of fungi; Colletotrichum lagenarium, C. atramentarium MAFF712102, C. fragariae, C. graminicola MAFF305460, C. lindemuthianum(C-1), C. lindemuthianum(C-3), C. lindemuthianum(C-13), C. trifolii MAFF305389, C. dematium MAFF410046 and Glomerella cingulata. Especially, the ratio of cis- and trans-alcohol products was shown 1 : 5.5 with stereoselectivity by C. lindemuthianum(C-3) after 7 days incubation period.
