Abstract
Phototherapy as a potential alternative has recently emerged for clearance of bacterial infection. However, single photothermal therapy often causes damage to skin and tissues due to excessive temperature. To overcome this deficiency, a bimetal-doped nanosheet (FeS@Cu2O) is successfully devised and fabricated via a hydrothermal method, which possesses photothermal, photodynamic and chemo-dynamic properties. The FeS@Cu2O not only exerts hyperthermal property as a potential photothermal agent, but also can efficiently produce ROS to eliminate bacteria via released bimetal (Fe2+ and Cu+). The antibacterial experiment indicates that the sample has a great antibacterial effect against E. coli and S. aureus. This work provides new ideas for the versatile multimodal synergistic therapy for sterilization.
