STIRLING U.S.C.G. The Author is a graduate of the Coast Guard Academy class of 1953. His four years of sea duty was divided into one year on deck and three years in engineering of which one year was as Engineering Officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Matagorda (WAVP-373).
