Abstract
This paper describes the application of infrared spectroscopy in precise measurements of residual substances and oil contamination in a vacuum system, such as the measurement of ultralow backstreaming rate of diffusion pump and the measurement of ultramicro quantities of oil contamination in vacuum systems and equipment. We will also discuss the possibility of other applications of infrared spectroscopy in a vacuum system.
