Abstract Insecticide treatments applied as full-season, dilute sprays were evaluated in a block of 10-11 year-old trees for leafroller control. The entire block was sprayed with Dikar 6 lb/A + Systox 6E 10 oz/A on April 10, April 17, April 23; Captan 50W 6 lb/A on April 30; Agri-Strep 1.5 lb/A on May 5; Dikar 6 lb/A + Agri-Strep 1.5 lb/A on May 9; Dikar 6 lb/A + Guthion 50W 1.5 lb/A alternate middles on May 16; Dikar 6 lb/A + Guthion 50W 1.5 lb/A + Karathane 0.5 lb/A + NAA 5 ppm on May 22; Dikar 6 lb/A + Guthion 50W 1.5 lb/A + Karathane 9 oz/A on June 3 and June 9. Single-tree plots were replicated 5 times using Stayman, York and Rome varieties. Treatments were applied to runoff using a high pressure Bean sprayer operating at 540 psi on the following dates: June 17, June 24, July 8, July 22, August 8, August 19, August 27. Omite 6E 24 oz/A + Captan 80W 4 lb/A were airblasted on all plots on August 19. The harvest appraisal dates were October 14 for Stayman, October 16 for York and October 17 for Rome. Treatments were evaluated by examining 250 apples (50/rep., 1 rep. Stayman, 2 rep. York, 2 rep. Rome). One apple may have had more than one type of damage.
