Abstract

Today's software applications deployed in an enterprise caters to the complex business processes, integrates various business units and addresses requirements of global customer base. The traditional methodology of software engineering succumbs towards the changing need of customer and technology advancement. Agile methodology targets complex systems with its iterative, incremental and evolutionary approach. There are numerous factors attributing towards the successful implementation of agile methodology. The measurement and evaluation of these agile success factors in an enterprise remains a challenge. This research paper presents a framework to analyse and measure the success factors of agile methodology in an enterprise, using two-way assessment and analytic hierarchy process (AHP). A case study has been conducted in a large enterprise in banking sector and twelve success factors of agile implementation have been evaluated and measured. The proposed framework makes significant contributions to the research community by providing improvement in the maturity of agile implementation in an enterprise by 54%.
