Abstract

The level of College Chinese learning self-efficacy of students in higher vocational colleges is investigated using quantitative descriptive methods in this study. The questionnaire utilized in this study is based on Liang's 2000 learning self-efficacy questionnaire for college students. The sample includes 984 students from Shandong higher vocational colleges in Shandong province in China. The data is analyzed with SPSS 26 in this study. According to the findings, 25.3 % of students have a high level of learning self-efficacy, 72.7 % have a medium level, and 2.0 % have a low level. In addition, students' ability learning self-efficacy is higher than their behavior learning self-efficacy. Independent sample t-test results show significant differences only in family structure variables, but there are no significant differences in gender, age, hometown, and major variables. This study also gives three strategies to improve higher vocational students' College Chinese learning self-efficacy.
