Abstract
AEDOS-II is an up-to-date general purpose acoustic emission source detection and localization system. AEDOS-II, designed and manufactured by CISE, is an outcome of more than 15 years of involvement in research and development activities and industrial applications of acoustic emission. The system is based on a powerful 32 bit CPU computer providing high data acquisition and processing speed. The priority, in system design, was given to modularity (from 4 up to 64 input channels), ease to use through a completely menu-driven user interface, software control of all relevant hardware function, accuracy and high speed of source location algorithms, exhaustive and flexible data processing.
