Abstract
By means of ultrasonic scanning, detailed information on internal material properties and dimensions can be gained. Universal (laboratory) scanning systems have been developed for fast and flexible inspection of single items. A ROBOT has been used to test this scanning technique. For inspecting precision tubes, different systems have been developed to find defects and measure dimensions.
