Abstract

AbstractA method of testing camera shutters is described and illustrated examples of the application of the method are given. The method is applicable to all types of shutter mechanism and uses standard laboratory equipment. Double extension or a supplementary lens is required for a full test on a focal plane shutter. The method involves photographing a trace on a cathode-ray tube screen.
