Abstract
Objective To investigate the crowd phenomena and the relation with the stereopsis in ametropic amblyopic children after treatment.Methods Visual acuity of row and single sign was examined in 95 ametropic amblyopia children and in 150 ametropic children at the same age using Yang's and Titmus stereo test to assess stereo aucity in all children.Results The crowd phenomena in ametropic amblyopic children was more obvious(P ＜0.01).Significant difference existed in the stereo acuity between with and without crowd phenomena in the amblyopic children(P＜0.01).Significant difference existed in stereo acuity between amblyopia group and ametropic group(P ＜0.01).The stereopsis of ametropic group was the best.Conclusions After treatment,the stereopsis of amblyopic children without crowd phenomena is better,which is very important to assess the effect and prognosis in amblyopic treatment.Amblyopia should be diagnosed and cured as soon as possible to improve the stereo acuity.
