Abstract
October 4, 1989, was the sixtieth birthday of Nikolai Nikolaevich Podd'iakov, eminent Soviet psychologist, researcher on children's creativity, and director of the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences Scientific Research Institute of Preschool Upbringing. The editors would like to congratulate him and offer his new approach to research on children's creativity to our readers.
