Abstract

ABSTRACT This letter was written by a psychoanalyst from Dnipro, Ukraine, who serves as a deputy battalion commander for moral and psychological support and as a captain in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the 2022 Russian invasion. In this contribution, which was based on the oral presentation at the conference of the International Psychoanalytical Studies Organization in Uzhhorod, Ukraine (December 2023), he speaks on the (im)possibility of psychoanalysis during the war, referring to his own considerations, psychoanalytic papers, literature, and art.
