Abstract

AbstractIn colour photography, the need to compute colour gamuts for the evaluation of the spectral distribution of dyes used in colour reproduction makes fast and accurate algorithms to achieve this computation valuable.Presented here is an exceptionally fast algorithm used to compute the colour gamuts of subtractive colour mixtures such as in reversal films and colour print materials. The algorithm is based on the correspondence of dye amount space and colour space.
