Abstract
Green energy, also called green power, is the energy which we generate from natural resources like solar, geothermal, wind, biomass, or water, providing a huge environmental benefit. Using green energy consumes a mix of green, renewable, as well as conventional energy. Green energy includes biomass, solar energy, hydroelectric energy, wind energy, and many other kinds of sustainable energies. Among all these energies, biomass has been used since even before the era of fossil fuels, and is considered as a very essential and efficient alternative. After biomass, solar energy is said to be the future of energy because of its utilization for photothermal, photochemical, photoelectric, and photobiological conversions. These energies are followed by other energies such as hydroelectric or geothermal energy, with different applications in various fields.
