Abstract
The definition of air pollution, sources and effects of air pollutants, ambient-air-quality standards and emissions of pollutants are discussed with a brief note on automobiles and industrial pollution in the fifth chapter. In this chapter, the methods to monitor ambient air quality, meteorologic conditions, and air quality status are presented. The models for prediction of air impacts, their significance, and assessments along with mitigation measures of the adverse air impacts are also presented in this chapter.
