Abstract

Low temperature hydrogenation of naphthalene to decalin was studied over supported metal catalysts. A combination of a carbon-supported rhodium catalyst and supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2 ) solvent was very effective for the selective hydrogenation of naphthalene to cis-decalin at low temperature.
