Abstract
In this chapter, the characterization techniques and materials’ features (chemical composition, microstructure, and texture) are duly described. Thermo-mechanical treatments employed to obtain different texture, microstructure, and carbon content as well as grain size are given in detail. Microstructural parameters such as grain size, grain size distribution, and crystallographic texture were characterized using X-ray macrotexture and EBSD microtexture to further understand and explain the materials’ physical properties as well as their relationship with the Barkhausen noise response.
