Abstract

Clinical trials are the critical pathway by which cancer therapy development occurs. The set of elements that define the trial, collectively known as the trial design, ultimately determine all aspects of conduct, analysis, and reporting. This chapter focuses on clinical trial design, reviewing fundamental components and newer developments in modern oncology clinical trial conduct.
