Abstract
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the pedagogical phenomenon of "additional education of children" in Russia. There is a need to see the prospects for the development of additional education of children for the future and the strategy of additional education in modern conditions. A generalized description of the concept of "additional education" in Russia is given.
