Abstract

Christian Décobert, «A Science of Our Times»: Bon-Joseph Dacier's Report on the History and Ancient Literature Class at the Institut. Although a composite mix, the report signed Bon- Joseph Dacier on the History and Literature Class of the Institut is very consistent. The contribution by Silvestre de Sacy on Oriental Languages and Literatures is in this respect symptomatic of the report as a whole.
