Abstract

<A Beautiful Mind> is a film that reveals the anguish of a genius mathematician who lives with the psychological burden in the ideological reality of politics and society in the Cold War era. Fantasy characters form a multiplicity in the real space and balance points are found, and variations of film music can be explored from the calculus perspective, but they have not received much attention as the subject of discussion. Constructing the table from the prisoner's dilemma reveals a choice that favors real-world characters for all of Nash's strategies. Film music that is selectively varied and harmonized with the narrative can be considered through multivariate calculus of mathematics. The purpose of this paper is to explore the narrative image in <A Beautiful Mind> from the perspective of Nash equilibrium and manifold theory, and to analyze film music. It has the significance of presenting a method for film interpretation that combines mathematics and music by presenting a methodology for image analysis using mathematical theory and film music and showing improvement plans.
