Abstract
Yamanashi Medical University developed a retrieval system for the CD-ROM version of Igaku-chuo-zasshi on the Windows NT server. This system can be accessed by either Windows or Macintosh terminals via the campus LAN. This is made possible by taking advantage of the multi-protocol network. We copy the data from the CD-ROMs to the hard disk of the server in order to increase the response of the network. Users enter the system from our home page through the web browser. Each time the search program of the retrieval system is started, the statistical data of the user are stored automatically.
