Abstract
The article analyzes methods and ways of executing functions of collection, processing, storage, transmission and use of information technologies and systems in public administration. The definition and characteristics of information technologies and systems are described, and their use in public administration is analyzed. The definition and characteristics of information support, information-providing functions, as well as the definition and characteristics of the information system are considered. The definition of information processing and the essence of technical resources for information systems are analyzed. The main characteristics of the system as well as management as a separate function of the system are studied. The definition of management entities is highlighted and the mechanism of decision-making is considered.
