Abstract

The objectives of the presented research are to identify the possibilities of gastronomic tourism as a promising tool for the modernization of the regional economy, as well as to develop practical proposals for the development of gastronomic tourism in the regions of the Russian Federation. To achieve these goals, the following aspects were analyzed: the impact of gastronomic tourism on the development of the tourism economy as a component of the regional economy, the impact of the formation of gastrotours on the development of interregional ties, the development of regional infrastructure, the development of intercultural relations, the definition of state and regional authenticity.
