Abstract
The unexpected appearance and global spread of the coronavirus infection has significantly changed many aspects of human life, reflected in the state and emerging trends of social, economic, ecological, technological and cultural development. This article reviews the literature on the philosophical understanding of the consequences of the pandemic. Particular attention is paid to the existential issues of lockdown, the massive implantation of information and digital technologies and the strengthening, in this regard, of the role of artificial intelligence and computer modeling in the development of human activity. The pandemic actually created a new situation in which it became difficult to simulate the future. There is a permanent emergency situation, a total violation of the usual rhythm of life, forced isolation, uncertainty taking on a global nature, the comprehensive implementation of digitalization, and even the accelerating creation of a technogenic civilization — with all its benefits and drawbacks; anthropological specificity and the existential sensation of a new reality also feature. The harmonious development of the future will depend on how soberly humanity can assess what is happening and acquire developments in the long term.
