Abstract
Digitalization today has become not only an important element in almost all spheres of life, but is one of the main trends in the development of modern states. New technologies penetrate into all spheres of life. The judiciary is no exception. The value of an independent, efficient and transparent judiciary is extremely high for a state governed by the rule of law as the Kyrgyz Republic is according to the Constitution. The introduction of digital technologies in the judicial system is one of the priority areas of judicial legal reform. This article outlines the main achievements in the digitalization of justice and further prospects for introduction of digital technologies in the judicial system in Kyrgyzstan, in particular in civil proceedings. The author reveals the advantages and highlights the challenges of using information technology in civil proceedings.
