Abstract

The article discusses the features and factors of criminalization of minors, analyzes the reasons for the involvement of adolescents in the criminal subculture. It also presents a generalized socio-psychological portrait of juvenile convicts serving sentences in educational colonies; The results of a study of risk factors, prevalence and specificity of elements of the criminal subculture (motives for acceptance, aspects of subordination to criminal leaders, etc.) among juvenile convicts are considered, and the directions of correctional and preventive work of penitentiary psychologists and other employees in this social group are shown.
