Abstract

The article deals with some poetry from the collection of Sergiy Zhadan's Life of Maria through the lens of the philosophy of existentialism. It is traced how they realize the motives of the tragedy of being, the absurdity of the world, rebellion, freedom of choice. The poet's nationalexistential model of the world and the meaning of human life is substantiated. It is proved that the collection is a kind of attempt at the empirical confession of the author, his diary, which continued during the first year of the war in the Donbass. In the collection Life of Mary Sergey Zhadan reveals a complex of problems related to life and death - specific constituents, antipodes of society in times of war. It is justified that the heroes of the poet have no illusions about the prospects of their existence, but resort to the knowledge of eternal values. The object of the image of Zhadan is not only the peculiarities of the life of those who left the occupation. No less, but where much more attention is paid to those who, like a stalker, go out into the streets of the occupied cities every day. The purpose of these people is different, as is their meaning in life. Many of them cannot be called even positive heroes if they go back to the stated system of distribution of characters into carriers of universal good and universal evil. For Zhadan one of the leading was and remains the motive of the road, the way, so the images of immigrants are best suited to this artistic matrix. After prolonged wanderings, migrants attach themselves to new places of residence, receive a temporary address - an agreement to reside in rented living space, one can also say about the infamous migrant certificate, which marks and stigmatizes people who have lost their homes, leaving them immediately isolated residents.
