Abstract

The article reveals social and philosophical aspects of the social orphanhood problem in the modern Russian society. Special attention is paid to studying the social orphanhood phenomenon in the context of cultural trauma and anomie of the Russian society. The social orphanhood phenomenon is considered as a result of disunity of the modern Russian society, prevalence of individualistic values over collectivistic ones in individual and social consciousness. The author justifies the necessity to develop efficient family policy aimed at preventing social orphanhood and strengthening the institutions of family, fatherhood and motherhood.
