Abstract

The article provides a brief analysis of the concept of ideology, destructive ideology, including the ideology of extremism. The opinions of Russian scientists, including the author's, on the role of the Internet in spreading destructive ideology are presented, including certain ways to combat the ideol-ogy of extremism through virtual space. The risks contributing to the spread of destructive ideology both from outside and inside the state are identified. The most priority goals and objectives on the part of the state have been identified, correcting the policy of countering extremism in connection with the tragic events at Crocus City Hall, as well as during the Special Military Operation.
