Abstract

The purpose of the study is to consider the main possibilities of digital transformation in terms of economics, business models, decision-making methods, human and technological perspectives in the era of Industry 4.0. The subject of the research is the process of digital transformation of economic systems based on the introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies into production and production environment. Research methodology: the theoretical and methodological research is based on the works of scientists and researchers in the field of digital transformation. Research results: the features, problems of digital transformation are analyzed, the influence of Industry 4.0 on economic systems of various levels is revealed, the author's definition of the concept of "digitalization of the process" is given. The article focuses on the fact that correct understanding of digitalization trends and their importance for economic systems of various levels will increase their benefit in the future. As a result, it is indicated that three different forms of digital production: assistive systems, cyber-physical systems and artificial intelligence (as elements of Industry 4.0) will change the nature of work and, in varying degrees, will affect the reduction in the number of workers.
